Walmart, Target and Amazon...

Writer's picture: RCRC

All three of these major retailers have affiliate programs that you can apply for to become an affiliate for. Their commission rates vary from 10% to 2% depending on what category the product falls under. Amazon in particular has recently slashed their commission rates significantly. The advantage to becoming an affiliate for these retailers is the ability to promote literally anything because they sell literally everything! As I have mentioned in a past post, most of these products are low ticket meaning your focus would have to be on driving a significant amount of traffic to you offer in order to find any success as the products you are promoting are low priced paired with low commission rates.

If you can't already tell I don't tend to recommend anyone seriously trying to start an affiliate marketing business become an affiliate for these retailers but focus on higher ticket prices who have supportive affiliate programs. One of the products I am an affiliate for is a $100 product and the commission is %100 percent. It sells for $100 and anytime someone purchase it using my link I get $100. I know you are thinking "that makes no sense" but it really does. That company has many different software products that are their real "bread and butter" and the product I promote is really created to gain customers for their other products.

All this being said if you are still interested in the major retailer affiliate programs I have provided links to each of their application sites.

Now go forth and crush it!
